Booking & Payment

    • AZ sales tax will be added to your final total.

    • A non‑refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date and time.

    • Final images are delivered, and your commercial or personal license is immediately activated once your session is paid in full.

    • Packages include only the listed number of edited images. RAW and unedited files are not provided.

    • Clients are responsible for any location‑related costs such as permits, entrance fees, or parking, and these will be discussed prior to booking.

  • The retainer holds your date and helps us start planning smoothly. It goes toward your total project cost and is non-refundable. However, if your plans change, you can usually transfer it to a new date as long as you give us 48 hours’ notice and we have availability.

  • If you need to reschedule, we’ll try to accommodate by moving your session and applying your retainer to a new date based on availability. The retainer is non-refundable, but any other refunds depend on timing.

  • Your remaining balance is due by the date listed on your invoice or booking details. Final files won’t be released until the balance is paid in full. Once your final balance is received, your fully edited images will be available, and your commercial or personal license will take effect. We're excited to share your new photos with you!

  • Payments are made through Orange Oak Studio’s private customer portal, where you will also find your image gallery.

    Secure payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH. We can also provide tap-to-pay options if on location.

Delivery & Editing

  • Turnaround times vary based on the project's scope, editing requirements, and our current workload. We'll provide a general timeline before confirming your booking. If you have a tight deadline, rush delivery may be available for an additional fee, subject to our schedule.

  • The number of final edited images you'll receive varies depending on your session type and the package or proposal you've selected.

    For commercial projects:
    We carefully follow the agreed-upon shot list to ensure we capture everything you need.

    For portrait sessions:
    We provide the number of images outlined in your chosen package, so you can enjoy a personalized experience.

  • Final images feature expert editing, including:

    • Precise color correction

    • Exposure adjustments

    • Cropping

    • Light retouching

    • And finishing touches to ensure a polished and cohesive appearance.

    Your package covers one proofing or selection round and one set of reasonable revisions. Additional revisions, advanced retouching, complex compositing, or extra images are available at an additional cost.

  • No, because RAW files are unprocessed captures and do not represent the final product. Orange Oak Studio provides fully edited, polished images that are ready for use. In certain commercial cases, RAW files may be available for licensing in advance for an additional fee.

Licensing & File Use

    • Commercial sessions include:
      A business-use license for your own brand and marketing, covering your website, social media, email campaigns, online stores, and printed materials. Your commercial rights activate once the project is fully paid, ensuring a straightforward and clear process for both parties.

    • Family and personal sessions include:
      A personal-use license, allowing you to print images, share on personal social media, create albums, gifts, and display at home. Your personal-use rights activate once the project is fully paid. Any business or promotional use of family or personal images requires a separate commercial license.

      Family and personal sessions also have access to our online store, an easy way to buy prints and bring your images to life!

  • No, your agreement stipulates that images may not be used to train AI models or to create new AI content without prior written permission.

    Routine edits in programs like Photoshop or Canva (such as resizing, cropping, masking, or adding text and graphics) are permitted and are not the intention of this restriction.

Logistics & Travel

  • Projects within Phoenix and the surrounding cities are typically priced to include local travel unless otherwise specified. For locations outside the Phoenix area or projects involving additional logistics such as parking, permits, tolls, or lodging, any extra charges will be clearly detailed in your quote or invoice prior to booking.

  • Most sessions are designed to work well on location, but if your project requires a rented studio, that cost is usually billed separately unless it is already included in your custom quote. We’ll confirm the studio details, pricing, and responsibilities before booking.

  • Ship-in product photography may be available for select commercial projects, depending on the product type, number of items, timeline, and handling requirements. Clients are generally responsible for shipping items to and from the studio. It helps to include a packing list, product details, and any special priorities when sending items.

Services & Fit

  • Orange Oak Studio specializes in product photography, individual and team headshots, family sessions, and custom projects.

  • No, not at this time. Orange Oak Studio does not offer wedding, engagement, or maternity/newborn photography, but we’re happy to point you to other options when possible.
